Finished Rebuilt Sterling ST55 (CineMag Transformer!)

Description

This Sterling Audio ST55 is finished, tested and sounding amazing.  We replaced the Stock “resonator disk” capsule with our standard k47 style capsule. The sterling circuit boards were replaced with our BFM-T-55 circuit which is designed specifically for this mic and supports the pad and filter switches.  The mic also has an internal pattern switch to allow selecting cardioid or omni pickup patterns.

We went with the deluxe transformer option in this build: The CineMag 5722w! This transformer sounds beautiful when paired with the k47 style capsule.  Harsh, sibilant high-end becomes smooth and silky. Thin bottom end becomes full. In the middle is a great harmonic richness that works well on almost anything you throw at it.  All that with a beautiful transformer warmth and character.

Includes the sterling shockmount and leather pouch.
