Description

This is the Everything Else category for LDC Capsule Swaps. Most Low Cost LDC mics from MXL and others have a K67 style capsule and a circuit which does not compensate for the K67 response. The result is an over-bright, harsh, sibilant thin (add more unflattering words here) microphone. This is a rebuild of your LDC mic which consists of replacing the capsule with a K47 style yielding a smoother more classic mid-forward tone.

This upgrade is not appropriate for all mics. It has to be one which has a circuit which can adequately power the capsule. Contact us for more info.
